Eagle Rare is made with Buffalo Trace’s mashbill #1. The difference between GTS and ER17? ER17 comes off the still at 140 proof whereas GTS is 135 proof. Plus GTS is uncut and unfiltered whereas ER17 is chill-filtered and offered at 101 proof. Also, the average age of Eagle Rare 17 is 17 years and 7 months — three releases seeing bourbons over 18 years and four releases 19 years plus.
