Glencairn Whiskey Glass

The over $50 and under $100 bourbon whiskey category is where it gets interesting. There are some all-time great options available in this corner and many can be easily found. Some of my top choices include Booker’s bourbon and Four Roses Single Barrel Barrel Proof (SBBP). Booker’s batches consistently knock the ball out of the park. Four Roses SBBP offers so much variety and potential for greatness. On the flip side, Buffalo Trace dominates this price range and category but their bourbons are much harder to find. Buckle up for some great bourbons under $100 ranked.

The Best Bourbons Under $100 Ranked

Best Bourbons Under $100 Ranked

Many of these bourbons are single barrel releases or bourbons that are released by batches every year, so mileage may vary, but what these best bourbons under $100 have proven is that they consistently produce gold-ranked bourbon. Another interesting fact: the majority of these are higher proof bourbons — let’s call it over 100 proof.

#3 – Booker’s Bourbon

Booker’s Bourbon 2015-01 Big Man, Small Batch 5.31.40 PM
Fair Price: $99.99
Availability: Readily Available
Distillery: Jim Beam Distillery
Address: 568 Happy Hollow Rd, Clermont, KY 40110
Website: bookersbourbon.com
Reviews and Rankings:

Hunting Notes: Booker’s release four batches per year, and their batches are consistently some of the best tasting bourbons readily available. I have also been lucky enough to find older batches on the shelves in GA. Look behind what’s in the front for some older release. Pro tip: 2015 was the best year in my opinion for Bookers. Every single batch that year was phenomenal, but Big Man, Little Batch 2015-01, and Center Cut 2015-03 are all-time greats.

#4 – Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot “B” 12 Year

Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot B 12YO

Website: oldripvanwinkle.com
Review: Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year Wheated Bourbon
Hunting Notes: Bourbon OGs may be laughing but for this list to be consistent I’m sticking with Fair Price for the pricing. You will be hard-pressed to find this at retail without a little luck or spending a ton of money through the year at a single store. But it’s well worth the price if you can find it.

#7 – Weller Full Proof

Review: Weller Antique 107 Wheated Bourbon

Distillery: Barrell Crafts Spirits
Address: Louisville, KY
Website: barrellbourbon.com
Review: Barrell Bourbon Batches 015 to 030 (Coming Soon)

Hunting Notes: Barrell Bourbon never releases the same batch twice so your mileage may vary. But they consistently put out well craft blends of uncut unfiltered barrel proof bourbon. I highly recommend checking out their Dovetail and New Year bourbon releases as well.

#13 – Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered Bourbon
